Accessibility of bus stops
A gradual move towards accessibility standards
Bus stops across the area are gradually being made accessible, according to a deployment plan defined in partnership with the coastal municipalities.
As of 31 December 2024, 40% of stops are accessible.
A new audit is underway in 2026 to assess the level of accessibility achieved in 2025.
The works provide:
- raised platforms for better alignment with vehicles;
- safe, secure pathways;
- clear and consistent signage;
- adapted waiting areas.
Accessibility features at stops
- Passenger Information Displays (PIV), which can be activated by remote control for people with visual impairments;
- ticket vending machines (TVM) are accessible.
Vehicles equipped to accommodate all passengers
As of 31 December 2024, 89% of “urban” vehicles are accessible.
A new audit is underway in 2026 to assess the level of accessibility achieved in 2025.
The available features include:
- manual or automatic access ramps;
- dedicated spaces for wheelchair users, identified by pictograms and colour-coded seats;
- audio and visual announcements on board;
- step-free access from stations;
- synchronised passenger information: audio + visual;
- interior spaces designed to make it easier to move around;
- front-door boarding on T1 and T2 for blind or visually impaired passengers, upon presentation of the orange card available from TXIK TXAK agencies.

- widths adapted for wheelchair users;
- tactile paving at boarding areas;
- enhanced signage.
